 Why WA Super

WA Super is a Western Australian company, created by Western Australians, for Western Australians.  With WA Super, your employees are in safe hands.

Our purpose is to help our members better prepare for their retirement so they can retire the way they want to. For over 35 years we’ve been looking after super for employees all over WA. Originally established to service local government employees, WA Super is now available to anyone eligible to hold super.

We’re a not-for-profit industry super fund, which means we work for our members, not for shareholders and every dollar of profit goes back to our members.

Now that the transition has been finalised, the combined entity manages over $3.5 billion on behalf of 60,000 members.

Building relationships with our employers

Because our business is focused on Western Australians and their super, we try to make it as easy as possible to deal with us. And if you’re not located in Perth, it’s no problem. Our Account Managers visit nearly all of Western Australia’s regional areas on a regular basis, and we plan to expand this to include other Australian states.

WA Super holds a MySuper licence with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), which means employers can nominate WA Super as their default super fund.

An employer’s default fund can accept employer contributions for employees who have not nominated a preferred fund for their contributions. It can also accept contributions for former employees where a preferred fund was not originally nominated.

What WA Super can offer employers
