Tim has extensive current and past board experience including, Chair of the Western Australian Regional Development Trust, Executive Director of the Western Australian Municipal Association, Chief Executive of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA, Chair of the Pilbara Development Commission, Deputy Chair of the Esperance Port Authority, President of RAC WA, was the founding Director of the Energy and Minerals Institute at the University of Western Australia (UWA), Principal Advisor at UWA, working in the areas of innovation and industry engagement, an Advisor to the UWA Engineering Dean's Council and Deputy Chairman of the Energy and Minerals Institute Board of Trustees at UWA.

He currently holds positions as Chair of the WA SuperNet Steering Committee, Telstra Regional Advisory Council WA and Chair (elect) for the Cooperative Research Centre for New Energy Industry (CRC NEI),  Councillor of RAC WA Inc., Director of RAC Holdings Pty Ltd, RAC WA Finance Limited and the Committee for Perth.

Jeff was previously a Director of the Westscheme Superannuation Fund. He has been involved in the Union movement for the past 30 years and has held a number of positions on the ASU including, President of the ASU Western Australia Branch, Branch Executive Councillor and Committee member of the Management for the ASU Energy IT division. Jeff has worked as an Engineering Officer at Western Power and as a Technical Officer at Telstra.

He is currently the Chair of Wandoo Heights Preservation Group and Committee Member of the Swan Valley Ratepayers and Residents Association Inc.

He currently holds the position of Director Corporate Services at City of South Perth.

Andrea currently holds the positions of Assistant Secretary of the LGRCEU Federal Union, Assistant Secretary for the LGRCEU - State Union and Divison Treasurer of the LGRCEU WA Division. Andrea is currently a member of Women in Super and has previously held Board roles in the not-for-profit sector.

Ken has 40 years’ experience in both the government and private sectors.  He previously held senior positions in the WA Department of Education and was the WA Electoral Commissioner.  His prior directorships include Chair of Concept One Superannuation Fund and memberships on the Audit & Finance, Risk & Compliance, Remuneration and Investment Committees. Ken was also the Chairman of the Board for the Association of Independent Schools in WA and Chairman of the Independent Schools Council of Australia.

He is currently a member of the John Septimus Roe Anglican School Council.

Angela is an experienced Superannuation Fund Trustee having been a Director of Concept One Superannuation Fund from 2015 - 2018 and a Director of Tasplan Superannuation Fund from 2003 - 2015. With Concept One she served as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and was a member of the Investment and Marketing / Communications Committees. Angela’s experience at Tasplan included a period of very significant growth including merger activity and she was an active member of the Investment, Member Education and Administration Committees. Angela is a member of ‘Women in Super’ and has previously been involved at a national level. She is also actively involved as a Board member in the Not-for-Profit sector including previously being National Chair of the Children’s Book Council of Australia and currently Chair of the Finance Committee. 

Angela is currently the General Secretary of the Independent Education Union of Australia WA Branch, a member of the National Executive of the IEUA and sits on the Executive of Unions WA.

How are the directors elected?

The six Independent Directors are appointed by the Board.
The remaining four directors, while appointed by the Board, are nominated as follows:

  • One director is selected by the Board from people nominated by an ‘employer association’. This is the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) and Local Government Professionals Australia (WA);
  • One director is selected by the Board from people nominated by an ‘eligible employer’. This is an employer who has selected the Fund as the default fund; 
  • One director is nominated by the Australian Services Union (ASU); 
  • One director is nominated by the Western Australian Shire Councils, Municipal Road Boards, Health Boards, Parks, Cemeteries and Racecourse, Public Authorities, Water Boards Union (LGRCEU).
