Tim has extensive senior executive and board experience with the Western Australian Municipal Association, the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA, the Western Australian Regional Development Trust, the Pilbara Development Commission, and the Esperance Port Authority. Tim is a past President of RAC WA and was the founding Director of the Energy and Minerals Institute at the University of Western Australia. He also worked at UWA in the areas of innovation and industry engagement.

He currently holds positions as Chair and Non-Executive Director of Zetta Group Pty Ltd, Chair of WA SuperNet, Chair of the Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre, Director of RAC Holdings Pty Ltd, RAC WA Finance Limited, a member of the External Advisory Board for the Notre Dame School of Medicine and a Board Director of the Committee for Perth.

Jeff was previously a Director of the Westscheme Superannuation Fund. He has been involved in the Union movement for the past 30 years and has held a number of positions on the ASU including, President of the ASU Western Australia Branch, Branch Executive Councillor and Committee member of the Management for the ASU Energy IT division. Jeff has worked as an Engineering Officer at Western Power and as a Technical Officer at Telstra.

He is currently the Chair of Wandoo Heights Preservation Group and Committee Member of the Swan Valley Ratepayers and Residents Association Inc.

He currently holds the position of Director Corporate Services at City of South Perth.

Simon qualified as a solicitor in Perth then worked as an Investment Banker in London for 18 years after completing a Master of Law at Cambridge. He was a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of Kleinwort Benson, the UK’s largest merchant bank at that time, and subsequently founded Anvil Partners, a private equity firm. After he returned to Perth, he was appointed to the Takeovers Panel, where he served for nine years. He was also Mayor of the Town of Cambridge for eight years as and chairman of Ocean Gardens retirement village for nine years.

Ken has over 40 years’ experience in both the government and private sectors.  He previously held senior positions in the WA Department of Education and was the WA Electoral Commissioner.  His prior directorships include Chair of Concept One Superannuation Fund and memberships on the Audit & Finance, Risk & Compliance, Remuneration and Investment Committees. Ken was also the Chairman of the Board for the Association of Independent Schools in WA and Chairman of the Independent Schools Council of Australia.

He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Education, Non-Government Schools Registration Advisory Panel and a Life member of the John Septimus Roe Anglican School Council.

Ken is an experienced industrial relations advisor and advocate with over 30 years’ experience in employment law, industrial relations and human resource management. Having established his own practice in 1987, Ken regularly represents clients in employment tribunals across all levels of government and private industry. He continues to work closely with LGRCEU members and all levels of government. His private industry experience includes negotiation of multimillion-dollar contracts. 

How are the directors elected?

The five Independent Directors are appointed by the Board.
The remaining four directors, while appointed by the Board, are nominated as follows:

  • One director is selected by the Board from people nominated by an ‘employer association’. This is the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) and Local Government Professionals Australia (WA);
  • One director is selected by the Board from people nominated by an ‘eligible employer’. This is an employer who has selected the Fund as the default fund; 
  • One director is nominated by the Australian Services Union (ASU); 
  • One director is nominated by the Western Australian Shire Councils, Municipal Road Boards, Health Boards, Parks, Cemeteries and Racecourse, Public Authorities, Water Boards Union (LGRCEU).
